Kemp Photography sets up a portable studio inside your office and photographs your whole company in one go. Half Day is $3,600, Full Day starts at $4,850, and travel is built in. You get photos that look professional without looking like a bank brochure, and your About page stops looking like a group chat.

Why tech teams need consistent headshots
Tech companies are judged on people. Investors read your leadership page. Candidates check your team before they apply. Enterprise buyers want to know who will answer the phone when something breaks.
The usual failure is not bad photos. It is mismatched photos. Founders on a professional shoot, the first ten employees on selfies, and everyone since on whatever LinkedIn pulled in. On a careers page, that looks like an organization in no particular hurry to get better.
Growth makes it worse. When headcount doubles in a year, nobody schedules a photo moment. A deliberate on-site day catches everyone at once, then newer hires can be added by the same crew in the same setup.
Where tech company headshots get used

- Careers pages and job-post templates
- Investor decks, fundraising updates and board materials
- Sales decks and customer-facing account-team slides
- Product launch pages and press kits
- Slack, email, Notion and calendar avatars, where people actually see each other daily
- Conference speaker applications and podcast guest bios
- LinkedIn profiles for the whole team
How does a headshot day work at a tech company?
Kemp Photography builds a portable studio in a spare meeting room in 45 to 60 minutes, then photographs people in 2 to 3 minute turns, back to back. Employees see their images instantly or in a private gallery, pick a favorite, and get a retouched final, typically within 1 to 2 weeks.
Tech offices have their own quirks:
- Flex schedules. Not everyone is in at 9. Share the in-office days that fill the building and we will time the day accordingly.
- Standups and sprints. Slots run short, so engineers can step out between meetings. Kemp Photography manages the schedule, so there is no calendar invite chain to untangle.
- Open floor plans. We need a closed room, since noise and foot traffic are bad for camera-shy people. A meeting room with a door is ideal.
- Shared buildings. If you are in a coworking space or multi-tenant building, mention it so you can sort out loading dock or guest access in advance.
- New-hire batches. Fast-growing teams can book another day once enough new people have started, rather than pinging individuals one at a time.
What should a tech team wear for headshots?
Whatever they would wear to a first customer meeting. Casual works. Sloppy does not. Aim for clean, solid colors, and let people look like themselves with the volume turned up slightly.

Style guidance:
- Background. Soft gray works almost everywhere. If your brand has a signature color, tell us before the day so we can talk through whether it will help or overpower the faces.
- Wardrobe. Sweaters, blazers, button-ups, plain tees under an overshirt. Skip tiny stripes and large logos.
- Expression. Warm and curious. Tech portraits that try too hard to look serious feel dated.
- Consistency over cleverness. A neat grid of matching faces looks more intentional than a wall of creative backgrounds.
- Leadership. Founders and executives can get the same setup or a slightly more formal frame. Decide in advance.
From startup to enterprise: what is the right size day?
A 25-person startup fits inside a Half Day. A mid-size company with a few hundred people may fill a Full Day, and a large enterprise with several offices becomes a quoted multi-site project. On scale, Kemp Photography photographed 552 people across 12 states for Sentry Insurance in about one month.
What does a tech company headshot day cost?
You pay for the day, not for each head. A Half Day is $3,600, suited to a team of about 50 to 60. A Full Day begins at $4,850 and handles about 150 to 250. Larger companies spanning offices get a quote. Travel is included.
| Company stage | Likely fit | Rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Early-stage, up to ~60 people | Half Day | $3,600 | Often one room, one afternoon |
| Growth-stage, ~150–250 people | Full Day | From $4,850 | About $32 per person if 150 are photographed (illustrative) |
| Enterprise or multi-office | Multi-set or multi-site | Quoted | Extra sets and photographers for groups beyond ~250 in a full day |
Tech company headshot FAQ
Do we have to wear a suit? No. Most tech teams go with whatever they would wear to meet a customer: a clean tee under a blazer, a sweater, a good button-up. We steer people away from loud logos and busy patterns, and that is about it.
We hire constantly. How do new people get a matching photo? Batch them. Many teams hold a day every few months so each cohort is photographed in the same setup. Ask us about quoting repeat dates when you request your first quote.
Can we photograph people from multiple offices? Yes. Multi-office work is quoted, and we match lighting and background across locations so the About page does not reveal which office each person works in.
What about remote employees? On-site days photograph whoever is in the room. If remote staff can travel to the office that day, they are welcome to join. Otherwise they will not match the on-site set, so plan the day around when the team will be together.
How quickly do we get the finished photos? People choose a favorite instantly or from a private online gallery. Retouched finals typically arrive in 1 to 2 weeks, and your team gets a roster page with every selection.
