Kemp Photography brings a full portable studio to your law firm and photographs every attorney, back to back, under the same lights. Pricing is flat: Half Day $3,600, Full Day from $4,850, travel included. Partners, associates and staff get matching bios, and nobody burns an afternoon at a photo studio across town.

Why law firms need consistent headshots
A firm sells judgment, and the first thing a prospective client sees is a face. Your attorney page is often the first stop before a call is ever made. When a senior partner has a glossy portrait from 2014 and the newest associate has a cropped photo from a firm retreat, the page tells a story you did not intend.
Consistency fixes that. Same light, same background, same crop, same expression range. The roster reads as one firm instead of a collection of individuals.
It also matters internally. Firms grow by merger, by lateral hire, by opening an office in a new city. Each of those moments creates a mismatch. A single, repeatable headshot standard turns a messy directory into a tidy one.
Where law firm headshots get used
- Attorney bio pages and practice-group landing pages
- Partner portraits for the "Our Team" section and annual reports
- Legal directories and peer-review profiles, which usually want a professional image
- Pitch decks and RFP responses where the team page is part of the sell
- LinkedIn and email signatures
- Announcements for promotions, new partners and lateral hires
- Staff, paralegals and business-services teams, so the whole firm is represented, not just the letterhead
How does a headshot day work at a law firm?
Kemp Photography arrives with a portable studio, sets up in a conference room or empty office in roughly 45 to 60 minutes, then photographs attorneys in 2 to 3 minute turns. You book a flat-rate day, we confirm the space, and retouched finals typically arrive within 1 to 2 weeks.
Law firms run on calendars, so the schedule is built around yours. A few things that tend to help:
- Short, fixed slots. Attorneys come in as their time allows. Kemp Photography manages the schedule, so the line never backs up.
- Partners at the edges. Early morning or late afternoon slots suit the people with the least flexibility.
- Court and deposition days. Send us a list of who is out on which day. We would rather build around it than chase people.
- Privacy. Choose a room away from client meeting space. A closed door and a power outlet are the main requirements.
At the end, the firm gets a roster page with every proof and every pick, which is handy for the marketing team assembling bios.
What style of headshot works for attorneys?
Conservative, confident and approachable. Clients are trusting you with problems that keep them up at night. The photo should say "steady," not "stock photo."

Practical guidance for your firm:
- Background. A neutral gray or soft off-white is the safe default and ages well. If your brand has a color, we can talk it through before the day.
- Wardrobe. Dark suit, crisp shirt or blouse, minimal patterns. Solid colors photograph cleaner than thin stripes or busy prints.
- Expression. A slight smile that looks like the one you wear when a client walks in. We direct people into it. Nobody has to know how to pose.
- Framing. Head and shoulders for bios, with enough room for tighter crops on directories and wider ones on the website.
- Partner portraits. If your firm wants a more formal set for partners, say so up front so we can plan a touch more time on those turns.
Consistency across offices and lateral hires
Multi-office firms are where this service earns its keep. We can match the lighting and background recipe in every city and, where possible, send the same lead photographer. For scale, Kemp Photography photographed 552 people across offices in 12 states for Sentry Insurance in about one month. That is a different industry, but the same discipline applies to a firm with a dozen offices.
If you expect lateral hires or a merger, mention it in your quote request. Multi-office work is quoted individually so we can sequence cities sensibly.
What does a law firm headshot day cost?
Flat day pricing, not per-person pricing. Half Day is $3,600 and covers roughly 50 to 60 attorneys and staff. Full Day starts at $4,850 and typically covers 150 to 250 people. Travel is included in the flat rate. Larger or multi-office projects are quoted.
| Package | Flat rate | Typical capacity | Illustrative cost per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| Half Day | $3,600 | ~50–60 attorneys and staff | Day rate ÷ number photographed |
| Full Day | From $4,850 | ~150–250 people | $4,850 ÷ 150 = $32 (illustrative) |
| Multi-office | Quoted | Larger groups, extra sets as needed | Quoted |
The per-person figure is an illustration of the math, not a price. You pay the day rate.

Law firm headshot FAQ
How do you photograph attorneys without wrecking billable hours? Each attorney is in front of the camera for about 2 to 3 minutes. We set the schedule in short, fixed slots so lawyers step out of a call or a meeting, get photographed, and go back. Partners with tight calendars can be slotted at the edges of the day.
Can all of our offices end up with the same look? Yes. We use the same lighting and background recipe at every office, and where possible the same lead photographer. Kemp Photography does not subcontract, so the crew is our own internally trained team in every city.
What about attorneys who join after our headshot day? Ask us about it when you request a quote. Because we keep the setup consistent, a later visit, or bundling a new office into a multi-office rollout, can be quoted so new faces match the existing roster.
Will attorneys get to choose their own photo? Yes. Everyone sees their images right away or gets a private online gallery, picks a favorite, and we retouch that selection. The firm receives a roster page showing every proof and every selection.
How much space do we need? Plan on about 10 by 20 feet and one outlet. A quiet conference room or an empty office works well. We handle the rest of the studio.
