Kemp Photography flies a full portable studio to San Francisco and photographs your team inside your own office. A half day is $3,600, a full day is $4,850, both flat. Travel is included. Nobody on your team has to find a studio or lose an afternoon.

Why San Francisco teams book an on-site headshot day
San Francisco companies grow in bursts. A funding round closes, twenty people start in a quarter, and the About page still shows a team of eight. That gap is the usual trigger for a headshot day.
The city's employer mix creates a few common needs.
- Software, AI, and startups. SoMa and Mission Bay teams need portraits for team pages, recruiting posts, and conference speaker bios. The standard here is simple, natural light and no stiff suits.
- Venture capital and finance. Jackson Square, the Financial District, and Embarcadero firms put partner photos on fund sites and in LP materials, where polish counts.
- Biotech and health. Mission Bay and South San Francisco labs and offices need profiles for investor decks and leadership pages.
- Law, consulting, and nonprofits. Professional-services firms and mission-driven organizations rely on trust, and a consistent, current team page signals it.
A company that grows fast does not need a one-off shoot each time. A scheduled on-site day every six months or so keeps the page current.
How a headshot day works in a San Francisco office
San Francisco is a high-rise city with strict building habits. Many towers want vendor paperwork and a reserved freight elevator slot before anyone enters. Plan on both.
Before the day. Send us the property manager's contact. COI is available on request and we can email it straight to them. Ask whether the freight elevator is bookable and for how long.
Loading in. Our kit travels on a few rolling carts. We check in at the lobby, ride the freight elevator, and spend the hour before the first session building the studio.
In the space. Startups with open floors should give us a quiet meeting room, not a corner of the kitchen. We need about 10 by 20 feet and a power outlet.
Steps:
- Book. Share address, headcount, and date range. A 50 percent retainer reserves the day.
- Logistics. We confirm the room, the elevator window, and the building's vendor rules with you.
- Setup. Roughly an hour before the first person sits down, the crew starts building.
- Sessions. Each person takes two to three minutes.
- Selection. People review right away and pick their favorite.
- Delivery. Retouching on the chosen image is included, and finals typically arrive in one to two weeks.
What does a corporate headshot day cost in San Francisco?
In San Francisco, a half day costs $3,600 and a full day costs $4,850. Rates are flat and include the trip from Orange County. Headcount sets which one you need: roughly 50 to 60 people for a half day, 150 to 250 for a full day.
| Package | Flat rate | Typical headcount | Illustrative cost per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| Half Day | $3,600 | ~50–60 | ~$60–$72 |
| Full Day | $4,850 | ~150–250 | ~$19–$32 |
| Multi-set or multi-day | Quoted | 250+ | Scaled to scope |
These per-person numbers are illustrative. A seed-stage team of 30 pays the half-day rate and gets the same setup a 200-person company gets.

San Francisco headshot day FAQ
How much are corporate headshots in San Francisco? Half Day is $3,600 and fits roughly 50 to 60 people. Full Day is $4,850 and fits roughly 150 to 250. Both are flat rates and both include travel from Orange County. Companies with several floors or Bay Area offices get a multi-set or multi-day quote.
Our building has strict freight elevator rules. Is that a problem? Rarely. Our kit rolls on carts and fits a standard freight elevator. Tell us your reservation window and any dock limits. COI is available on request for your property manager. Many San Francisco buildings require it before any vendor is allowed upstairs, so send us the request early.
Can you shoot at a startup with an open floor plan? Yes, as long as there is one quiet corner or room of about 10 by 20 feet with an outlet. A single-person focus room is too small. A boardroom, a spare meeting room, or a cleared event area is fine. Put the camera away from the kitchen and the day goes smoothly.
Can you also reach Oakland, Emeryville, or the Peninsula? Yes. We plan around Bay Bridge and 101 traffic by scheduling each site as its own day, with the same lighting and background, so teams in San Francisco and across the water look like one company. Send us your addresses and headcounts and we will quote the combined project.
How do we reserve a date? Send your office address, headcount, and target weeks. A 50 percent retainer reserves the day. If your timeline is tight, call (714) 912-0766 and ask what is open before you commit to a plan. The earlier you ask, the more choice you get.
What about employees who are fully remote? Many Bay Area teams have people who rarely visit the office. Pick a day when the team gathers for a planning week or all-hands and we will fill the schedule then. A short second day can pick up anyone who was out sick or traveling.
